He has been engaged for nine years to a Cretan girl, whose brother threatens to kill him if he does not set a wedding date immediately. So he sees his conscription as a saving grace, but he is assigned to a paratrooper commando unit and endures hell during training. At the camp, he hangs out with three other guys his age who are turning the universe upside down. However, the difficult life at the camp eventually convinces him to get married and become a good family man.
