The political and social situation prevailing in Greece surprises her and her emotions alternate, as she encounters various behaviors and mentalities. Her appointment in Rethymno becomes an occasion for her to get to know the conservatism of the province and to risk her career and her reputation. In the first episode of the series, Katerina Makri travels to Crete, observes people and events and recalls in her memory images and incidents that marked the first hours of her return to Greece.
