The classmates who have gathered at Ms. Shimizu’s house were all beautiful, kind women who are genuinely happy for Kyoko. However, one person, Shigeko Yuri, can't bring herself to be happy for her. Before the war, Kyoko had a boyfriend named Takei, who lost his life in the war. It was Nakagawa who comforted Kyoko and nurtured their relationship, but Shigeko herself had a lover named Haruoka, whose whereaboutsare still unknown. Shigeko, who has devoted everything to her love for Haruoka, misunderstood that Kyoko switched her affections to Nakagawa, and in an attempt to thwart Kyoko’s marriage hid the diamond ring Nakagawa has sent her.
