Emilia, the woman, has a demanding craving for turnips that pulses her to press her husband to go stealing rampions in the neighbor's vegetable garden. She is, in fact, a witch. The guy accepts the mission after an amount of objections, but when he is taking the rampions, he is caught by Charnot, the witch, whom he tries to explain the situation. Charnot agrees to give him the turnips, but with the non-negotiable condition of giving the baby to her, after this one's birth. Thus, Charnot becomes the mother of the baby, a girl she calls Rapunzel Nabunzel.
