The long road teaches her absurd but necessary lessons: how to 'rescue' the non-suicidal, how to coax stubborn cars, how to flee 'antelope hunters', and above all — how to find and accept help in the most unexpected places. But the longed-for sea reminds her: to build a new life, she must reclaim what matters most.
