One glass too many at the farewell party, a car accident and suddenly Helene's life is turned upside down. On the advice of her lawyer, she takes care of the young woman whose father was injured in the accident. With her spontaneous warmth, Michalina, who has Down's syndrome, appeals to a side of Helene that she herself no longer knows.
