Originally from Redu Mare, the hero of the second novel is the power juggler Ion Ciocanu. The third novel tells about a young rural saint. His love for a random girl he met awakened a craving for a "mundane" life. But Valentine is lucky... The film ends with a story about Toolbarel, a cheerful and wise old man. He appears in all the other novels.
