View on VideBits →WR DISCOS tells the story of WR, the largest recording studio in the North and Northeast, during the 80s and 90s, founded in Salvador, in 1975, by Wesley Rangel. With WR, Bahian artists no longer needed to leave Bahia to record their albums in Rio or São Paulo, creating a new sound. A true revolution began from there, bringing to Brazilian popular music all the influence of black music made in the streets of Pelourinho.
